There’s nothing quite like sipping something refreshing in the shade on a warm summer day—especially when that drink is infused with the delicate, calming notes of lavender from our fields.

This Lavender Lemonade recipe is one of our seasonal favorites. It’s not just a treat for your taste buds—it's a moment of calm in a glass. Whether you're hosting a garden gathering, planning a picnic, or just want to elevate your daily hydration, this floral twist on classic lemonade is the perfect choice.

We’re sharing two versions of this recipe: the classic way using dried culinary lavender buds, and a shortcut version using our Lavender Simple Syrup—a customer favorite for cocktails, teas, and of course, lemonade!

Classic Lavender Lemonade Recipe (½ gallon)

Ingredients:

  • 7 cups fresh water

  • 1 cup sugar or sweetener of choice

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5 lemons)

  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

  2. Stir in the sugar (or sweetener) until completely dissolved.

  3. Add the dried lavender and remove from heat. Let the mixture steep for 1 hour. This creates a gorgeous lavender-infused syrup.

  4. Strain out the lavender buds using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.

  5. In a large pitcher, combine the lavender syrup, lemon juice, and remaining 5 cups of cold water.

  6. Chill and serve over ice. Garnish with a lemon slice or a sprig of fresh lavender if you’re feeling fancy!

Tip: The longer the lavender steeps, the stronger the floral flavor. If you're new to lavender in drinks, start with 1 tablespoon and adjust to taste.

Lavender Lemonade Shortcut (Using Lavender Simple Syrup)

Short on time or already have our Copper Knoll Farms Lavender Simple Syrup in your pantry? This version is for you—just as delicious, and ready in a flash!

Ingredients:

  • 7 cups fresh water

  • ¾ to 1 cup Lavender Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, Lavender Simple Syrup, and water.

  2. Stir well and taste—add more syrup if you'd like a sweeter or stronger lavender flavor.

  3. Serve chilled over ice. Add a sprig of mint or a twist of lemon peel for extra flair.

Bring the Bloom to Your Table

Whether you steep the buds yourself or use our handcrafted lavender syrup, this drink is a beautiful way to enjoy the season’s best. It's floral, citrusy, and just the right amount of sweet. Plus, it makes a stunning addition to bridal showers, garden parties, and weekend brunches.
