There’s something especially comforting about baked apples. Warm from the oven, softly sweet, and lightly spiced, they feel familiar in the best way. This version uses Lavender Granola as a subtle finishing touch rather than a heavy filling, allowing the apples to remain the focus while adding just enough texture and aroma to make the dish feel a little elevated.
Because our Lavender Granola is lightly sweetened and gently aromatic, it works best when used thoughtfully. A small amount goes a long way, bringing warmth from cinnamon and vanilla with just a hint of lavender that complements the natural sweetness of the fruit without overpowering it. The result is a simple, cozy dessert that feels intentional and easy to return to.

Ingredients
-
4 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
-
¼ cup Copper Knoll Farms Lavender Granola
-
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
1 tablespoon butter, divided
-
1–2 teaspoons honey (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Core the apples, removing the seeds and creating a small hollow in the center of each. Place the apples in a small baking dish.
In a bowl, gently mix the Lavender Granola with the cinnamon. Spoon a small amount of the mixture into each apple, keeping in mind that the granola is meant to be an accent rather than a heavy filling.
Top each apple with a small piece of butter. If you’d like a touch of extra sweetness, drizzle lightly with honey.
Cover the baking dish loosely with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the apples are tender but still hold their shape. Remove the foil for the last 5 minutes if you’d like a lightly caramelized top.
Serve warm, spooning the natural juices from the pan over the apples.
Make It Your Own
This recipe is intentionally simple and easy to adapt. Try swapping apples for pears, serving the baked fruit with a spoonful of yogurt, or adding a pinch of extra cinnamon if you prefer more warmth. You can also sprinkle a little extra Lavender Granola on top just before serving for added texture.
