Lavender Hydrosol

What is Lavender Hydrosol?

Hydrosol—also called floral water—is the aromatic water created during the steam distillation of plants. It contains water-soluble plant compounds and a soft, natural scent. Hydrosols are gentle, water-based, and ready to use without dilution.

How is Hydrosol Made?

Steam is passed through the harvested lavender and carries the essential oil up into the condenser of the still. As it cools, the essential oil and hydrosol separate. Hydrosol is a mixture of distilled water and lavender essential oil that is safely diluted which can be used directly on the skin or for cleaning. It is all natural with a honey, botanical fragrance.
