Praying Mantis

While trimming our raspberry canes for the spring, we discovered over 30 praying mantis oothecae, also known as egg cases. Each will hatch about 100-200 praying mantises that will eat mosquitoes, aphids, moths, and more! We do not use any pesticides on our berries so we’re very happy to see these beneficial insects.
