Our log grown mushrooms will stay fresh in the refridgerator for up to 7 days after the harvest date.
For our mushroom production, we carefully select oak logs from our forest under our Forest Management Plan which we then inoculate with organic spawn from a reputable source. Everyone has different preferences for the amount of mushrooms they need. However, a 1/4 pound of mushrooms is great for sautéing to flavor a dish. If you would like to make multiple dishes throughout the week or would like to create a main dish, we suggest 1/2 to a 1 pound of fresh mushrooms.
Yes, we recommend cooking the mushrooms before eating by either sautéing, baking, or dehydrating.
