Ingredients
- 1 cup of fresh elderberries
- 3 cups of water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon minched, fresh ginger root
- 1 cup honey
Directions
- Place elderberries, water, cinnamon stick, cloves, and ginger in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Let juice cool and strain in to jar.
- Stir in local honey until thoroughly combined and transfer to a lidded jar.
Keeps in refrigerator for 2 to 3 months.
